Welcome to the homepage for the Wigan Wheelers Cycling Club, as the name implies we are based in Wigan, Lancashire. We are a friendly club and new members are always made to feel welcome. We cater for anyone wether it be leisure or racing. The club organises several "Open" events during the racing season ( March - September ) and we also have a Club Competition for Championships from Youth to Veterans. The racing section of the club participate in a good many events during the season, these include 10, 25, 30, 50 and 100 mile Time Trials (solo and tandems ) 12 Hr and 24 Hr events, Road Racing and Track. During the winter months we hold Turbo training sessions, these are carefully structured sessions that help towards the preparation for the racing season ahead. For the leisure cyclist we have club runs at an easy pace during the week and on Sundays. If you are interested in any form of cycling and would like to get involved with the club come down to the Wigan Cricket Club, Bull Hey, Parsons Walk, Wigan on Monday night's between 7:30 - 9:30 pm and have a chat with some of the members. Club Kit.....

It was decided by a vote of the members at the AGM in November that we are to have a change of design for the club kit.
A number of designs were put forward and everyone had their own preference but the overwhelming vote was for the design put forward by a certain John Rigby, we should hopefully now see more of the club members riding out in the club colours and attracting more potential members.

Turbo Training.....

Turbo training sessions recommence on Wed 9th January.

Annual Club Dinner & Prize Presentation

This years bash will be held on Saturday 26th January at the Wigan Cricket Club, ticket price £12.00

Turbo Training

The Turbo training sessions are now back to their usual winter slots of Wednesday & Friday nights. The sessions start at 7:30 prompt so try to arrive early and get set up. Anyone wishing to try the session just turn up with your bike and turbo and get stuck in. Refreshments are included in the price of £3.00.

Venue is the Scout Hut, Orrell.

South rides meet at Ashton Library 9:00 AM.
North rides meet at the Cheery Gardens at 9:00 AM.
